In this workshop, which was tailored for investment promotion agencies (IPAs), presenters from UNCTAD, McKinsey & Company and the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA) discussed best practices in investment promotion and facilitation. The workshop, organized in the framework of the World Investment Forum 2016, was attended by more than 150 investment promotion professionals from Africa and beyond.

UNCTAD, in partnership with the Kenya Investment Authority (KenInvest), organized a capacity building Workshop on the Promotion of FDI in the Solar Energy Sector in Kenya. The event, held in Nairobi, brought together senior staff members from KenInvest and its regional offices, the Ministry of Energy & Petroleum of Kenya, Kenya Power and the Kenya Electricity Generation Company.
From 6 to 8 May 2015, in Seoul, the Republic of Korea, UNCTAD and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) held a regional capacity-building workshop on the promotion of green FDI for investment promotion agencies (IPAs) from Asia and the Pacific.
